Bruce Sterlings Mirrorshades-antologi var en af de første bøger, jeg tyggede mig igennem på engelsk. Den var svær. Meget også uhyre fascinerede, selvom jeg måske kun forstod 30% af teksten. Udgivet i 1986. Cyberpunk var hot. William Gibson var på vej op.
Det var derfor pudsigt at se en video fra årets Reboot, hvor Sterling forestod afslutningsforelæsningen. I oplægget indkredses to tanke- og strukturmodi ganske præcist, humoristisk og prægnant. Gothic high-tech og Favela chic. Se videoen:
